Q: Do you need a prescription for an MRI?

Yes. If you have reason to believe that an MRI would be beneficial in diagnosing your physical condition more accurately, discuss it with your doctor. If your doctor agrees, he or she will write a prescription. Let your doctor know that you would like to have your MRI scan performed at the East Bay Upright MRI Center. If your doctor is unfamiliar with our center we can contact him or her to answer any questions in greater depth.
